The Lowdown

For this project, I worked with L'Eau Vive to revamp their website design and improve the overall user experience. They already had over 12,000 news articles so we had to make sure to respect what was on the website already, but find a way to improve everything there. I started by using their existing branding as a foundation and created a new design that still respected their established brand.

To make the website more usable and user-friendly, I created new layouts that were optimized for the content and the audience. These layouts made it easier for readers to find the information they needed quickly and easily.

In addition, I updated their existing DNN themes and module templates to ensure that the website was running efficiently and effectively. This involved optimizing the website's performance and making sure that it was compatible with all major browsers and devices.

Finally, I created new 2sxc apps to enable the newspaper's team to edit and manage their content more efficiently. These apps allowed the team to easily update their articles, images, and other content without having to rely on a developer or technical team.

New Homepage

Redesigning the homepage of L'Eau Vive's website was a critical part of the project. The goal was to create a design that was both visually appealing and highly functional, making it easy for readers to navigate the website and find the content they were looking for. To achieve this, I focused on optimizing the layout and design elements to create a user-friendly experience.

The new homepage design features a clear and concise layout, with easy-to-read headlines and high-quality images that draw the reader's attention. I also created new navigation elements that were prominently displayed, making it simple for users to find the content they are interested in. The homepage was optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, ensuring that the user experience was consistent across all platforms.

As a result of the homepage redesign, L'Eau Vive's website saw improved engagement and increased user trust. Readers were able to quickly and easily find the content they were looking for, and the clear and concise layout instilled a sense of trust in the website. The new design has helped to establish L'Eau Vive as a reliable and credible source of news and information, and has helped to increase the website's overall traffic and engagement.

An amazing new menu

One of the key challenges in this project was to create a navigation system that would make it easy for readers to browse through the newspaper's categories and other pages. To accomplish this, I designed and implemented a new navigation system that was both highly usable and visually appealing.

The new navigation system features clear, concise labels that make it easy for readers to quickly find the content they are looking for. The menu is organized logically and intuitively, with drop-down menus that reveal subcategories and related pages. The navigation system is designed to be easy to use on both desktop and mobile devices, with a responsive layout that adapts to the user's screen size. Overall, the new navigation system has helped to improve the user experience and make it easier for readers to find the content they are looking for, which has led to increased engagement and better site metrics.

Hyper-readable articles

Typography played a crucial role in the redesign of the online newspaper's article details view. One of the main goals was to create a clean, modern look that would be easy to read and navigate. To achieve this, I focused on selecting the right typefaces and implementing them in a way that would be visually appealing and enhance the overall user experience.

I selected a combination of typefaces that were both easy to read and aesthetically pleasing. The primary font was chosen for its readability and legibility, while the secondary font was chosen for its elegance and sophistication. I also made sure that the typography was consistent across all pages, to provide a cohesive and unified look and feel.

By paying close attention to the typography in the article details view, I was able to create a design that was both visually appealing and highly usable. The clean, modern look and easy-to-read typefaces helped to enhance the user experience and make it easier for readers to engage with the content. Overall, the typography played a crucial role in the success of the redesign, and helped to make the online newspaper a more compelling and engaging platform.

Redesigned Events Calendar

As part of the website redesign project for L'Eau Vive, I worked on improving the agenda and events calendar. The goal was to create a more user-friendly design that would make it easier for readers to find and attend events. I started by analyzing the existing calendar system and identifying areas for improvement. I then designed and implemented a new calendar system that was both visually appealing and highly functional.

The new calendar features a clean and modern design that is consistent with the website's overall branding. The calendar is easily accessible from any page, with clear and concise labels that make it easy for users to navigate. I also created new features, such as filters and search functions, that make it easy for readers to find events that match their interests. The new calendar was optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, ensuring that the user experience was consistent across all platforms.

So much more...

The website redesign project for L'Eau Vive included the addition of many exciting new features. One of the highlights was the implementation of a user-friendly system for managing the Contactez-nous page.
